Bubble Blouse

I made this blouse for the girls, fabric was my old stock from Spotlight, SG I got on sale. Pattern from one of my sewing books, Tuniques pour grands et petites. I made in size L (8/9 years) and S (4/5 years).

It's raining the whole day today .. I had to cancelled my plan to take the kids to Bois de la Bâtie. So, I've made two blouses in a rainy day .. well the model is quite simple but I think it's very cute ;-)

un sac dans dix minute? .. c'est parti ! :-D

A quickie project ;-p
She wants a bag, not just any bag .. she wants my bag .. but it's definitely too big for her! so, I need to make another one, in small size. So I came up with this one, I made it more or less 10 minutes while she's having breakfast.

Still with the same fabric, but this one I make double with red linen lining and the model I just simply invented myself .. as long as she's happy, I'm happy :)

Labels, name tag

I think I wanted to make labels for my handmade products like everyone else I saw in JCA or in Etsy. I just want to put my stamp on them, that's all. I was thinking for an appropriate and "catchy" name and so far I decided 2 names:

For Children Clothes, for my daughters I decided "Little Friend, made by mom"
Why? because I wanted to become a good friend to my little ones, befriend with their little friends. They're my purely truly sincere honest loyal friends ...

For Women Clothes, for my self, my friend, I decided "Petits Pas"
Why? because I'm still learning to sew. "Petits Pas" means "Little Steps" in French. I'm learning to sew step by step, small steps at a time with a little bit of courage if I think of my age .. :)

Sewing is one of my leisure, my fave pastime, that I discovered a little bit too late .. heheh .. but better late than never, right? wrong? .. whatever .. :D

Flower Tunic

Another tunic for summer. Another design I picked from "Ma petite Garde-robe" book. Model P in size 38. I think I've made some mistake when tracing the arms pattern into silk paper, it's a bit longer in one side, so I had to trim some fabric from the side back arms, and next time if I'll make this again I want it a bit longer ..

The fabric I've got from the same guy in the flea market for only CHF 5/m, I bought 2 m and still have much enough fabric to make something for the kids later :)

Pleated Tunic

There's always a reason to sew another new clothes, this one I'm making for a weekend getaway to Milan next week :)

Pattern D size M from "Tuniques pour petits et grands" by Maude Paray, Cécile de Châtillon, Pauline de Saint-Lager (hachette) that I bought in Fnac last month when we visited Annecy. Fabric I got from Plainpalais flea market CHF 5/m. The fabric wide enough that could give me 2 sewing projects for a 2m long fabric.

"If you are walking to seek, ye shall find .."

I'm glad I've spent a blissful afternoon today. My mind was so messed up in the morning, but the moment my legs begin to move, my thoughts begin to flow. After lunch I took my eldest daughter to school and took my youngest daughter with me to my fave handicraft shop, the Brico Dancet in Rue Dancet not too far from where we live.

My daughter asked if she could also have some crepe paper for her "project", and I said yes she could have 2 colors while I looked for some ribbon. The shop keeper said I should look for a better collection in Textiles Acacias ..

I already knew about the place, but always forgot to stop by, forgot because I also thought that the fabrics they sell are waaaayy beyond my "tiny" budget, but I said I'll give it a try to find something there .. I bought a ribbon in Brico Dancet too though, it's a ribbon with words "Fait par Maman" print on it. I need some printed ribbon to attach on my handmade clothes for the girls, so I bought 2m of it.

Then we went to Textile Acacias, my daughter slept on the way there so I have all my time to look for some "bargain" fabrics, laces and ribbon .. I got some lovely leftover fabrics, lace and ribbons. I saw so many lovely fabrics there .. but once again, it's beyond my budget, so I'm happy enough to got some good bargain today.

Suddenly I felt that my thoughts come clearly while I walked home. The weather's just nice with a fresh air blew on my face, the sun wasn't as hot as usual on a summer afternoon .. I really enjoyed my walk, really enjoyed my new fave shop, enjoyed what I've found .. and to top it off, when I got home, I got a friend asked to do some sewing project for her friend's interior design's shop .. oh well, it's just making some cushions, but well .. I don't know .. I'm still learning to sew and I haven't sewn any cushions yet .. maybe someday, I should give it a try too .. :)
